Legalized drugs would not be a drug fueled orgy of chaos

There is much fear mongering since the UN received the Global Report for the legalization of drugs. Lets be reasonable and practical, we know cannabis will not be sold next to the candy bars nor will it be sold in toy shops. We already know when cannabis is sold it will be taxed, controlled and carefully regulated. It will become the states decision on how exactly the public will access cannabis purchases and looking at their history with cannabis it will certainly not be a drug crazed chaotic free for all.

Our Drug Czar made reference that drugs are not a victim less crime because it can bring drug babies. I must agree that this is true, but with the whole of drug sales on the black market there is absolutely no controls in place to reduce nor stop this situation. With legal drugs regulations and controls can be implemented as well as open access to treatment programs where the user need not fear legal implications for their drug use. Legalized drugs would help alleviate the birth of drug addicted babies through regulation and treatments.

Lets consider the present situation, drug warriors busting down doors guns ablaze. Drugs that are for sale to anyone that has the money, even narcs can make a buy! Prohibition and the black market it creates is a drug fueled orgy of chaos, legalization would add controls, regulations and some taxes!

The war on cannabis was Nixon's Big Trick to keep wars on going and tromp the open minded pot smoking war protesters, it had nothing to do with public safety nor morals. Cannabis prohibition is destructive by the nature of the greed and power of the black market that it perpetuates.
