Happy Fourth of July, well its a good day for fireworks here we have had lots of rain and fire danger is minimal. Sky is grey and overcast so we might get rained on some more today, so is life in the rain forest.In 1942 our Government made a film called Hemp for Victory which asked American farmers to grow hemp. The Fourth of July is about freedom and independence, now Hemp for Victory seems a rallying call of Law Enforcement as they arrest, pillage, plunder, and kill. This is a picture from when our Government had a different agenda with hemp the name used for cannabis back then. Marijuana was slang for cheap tobacco smoked by Mexicans.
