Montana's Safe Kids Safe Community Empowers Drug Cartels

Montana and their News Agencies....err umm.... make that "Propaganda Machines" are laying the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) on so thick that they are getting ridiculous. The new campaign against the medicinal herb is named "Safe Kids Safe Community" which is pure FUD and a dangerous lie.

If you take away medical marijuana then you have Black Market marijuana which brings the drug cartels into the picture. The Politicians in Montana should read a little world news and they would see that the drug cartels and their street gangs are much more dangerous to their children and communities.

I ask Montanan's would you rather have local people growing pot for people who have a prescription from a Dr to use the medicinal herb marijuana. Or would you rather have these outsiders in charge of distributing marijuana and other drugs in your state, it is really a choice of one or the other!


A coordinated series of law enforcement raids across 16 states this week resulted in the arrests of 429 people accused of participating in smuggling and transportation networks for Mexican drug cartels, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced Thursday.

Officials seized $5.8 million in cash, 2,951 pounds of marijuana, 247 pounds of cocaine, 17 pounds of methamphetamine, 141 weapons and 85 vehicles.

Those raids were part of a larger, 22-month effort, called Project Deliverance, in which a series of related operations aimed at delivery networks resulted in some 2,200 total arrests and the seizure of 74.1 tons of illegal drugs, the Justice Department said.

If you read the article linked above it paints a picture of the world being a safer place now because of the raids. Have you not heard that every time there are major busts, remember it was all the Columbian cartels, the Jamaican drug posse's. Oh and remember the spraying of paraquat on Mexico's pot fields, well none of it really made you any safer. The fact remains drugs and gangs are still on the streets of every city in the United States.

Safe Kids Safe Communities are those in which Dr's can prescribe the medicinal herb marijuana to anyone they feel it may help. Rather than having your local snow boarders buying pot from violent gang members, who also sell hard drugs.


Kidnappings in Phoenix and executions in Alabama last summer startled Americans not used to the cartels' violence.
It's easier to draw a map of the cartels' regions of control in Mexico than in the United States. Most big cities such as Chicago have all the major cartels represented, though federal and local law enforcement sources agree that Juarez is the dominant cartel controlling the flow of drugs into Chicago.

Marijuana is safe as it does not influence it users to violence as the use of alcohol is known to spawn domestic and other violence. Marijuana is much safer than opiate based prescription pain killers which are close to being heroin, just ask Rush about those little pills. Marijuana is also non-toxic so you are not intoxicated while under its influence.

Montana your state should hire the farming of medical marijuana out to local farmers and co ops. Tax it and sale it to those who have prescriptions for a fair market price. Thus taking the huge amount of profits from the Black Market and away from Drug Cartels and their Street Gangs.

Drug raids endanger everyone in the community from officers to citizens and even pets are not safe with crusading SWAT teams being out of control.

One can only wonder at this carefully laid trap that is guaranteed to leave us sick and spending anything to get their cancer treatments.

Legal marijuana would cost the corporate elites untold billions of dollars by curing and preventing cancer and other diseases!

We see the FDA had no problem approving BGH, milk and other dairy products that contain BGH for American the consumer, even amidst the evidence that it causes cancer! We can see that the corporate elites would lose billions of dollars if BGH was banned.

FDA Approves Carcinogens and Denies USA MMJ part 1

The US Goverment and Monsanto have a real history with cancer causing products connecting the two repeatedly for over a century.

In 1902, Monsanto's first product was none other than saccharin. Between the years of 1903 and 1905 their entire saccharin production was shipped to a growing soft drink company based in Georgia called Coca-Cola. In 1904 Monsanto introduced caffeine and vanillin to the growing soft drink industry.
In 1985, G.D. Searle & Company bought Monsanto. At this point Monsanto became even more involved in pharmaceuticals and the sweetener industry. In addition, NutraSweet was acquired by Monsanto.

Here are a few interesting facts on how Aspartame a carcinogenic product got past the FDA;

In 1985 Monsanto purchased G.D. Searle, the chemical company that held the patent to aspartame, the active ingredient in NutraSweet. Monsanto was apparently untroubled by aspartame's clouded past, including a 1980 FDA Board of Inquiry, comprised of three independent scientists, which confirmed that it "might induce brain tumors."

The FDA had actually banned aspartame based on this finding, only to have Searle Chairman Donald Rumsfeld (currently the Secretary of Defense) vow to "call in his markers," to get it approved.

On January 21, 1981, the day after Ronald Reagan's inauguration, Searle re-applied to the FDA for approval to use aspartame in food sweetener, and Reagan's new FDA commissioner, Arthur Hayes Hull, Jr., appointed a 5-person Scientific Commission to review the board of inquiry's decision.

It soon became clear that the panel would uphold the ban by a 3-2 decision, but Hull then installed a sixth member on the commission, and the vote became deadlocked. He then personally broke the tie in aspartame's favor. Hull later left the FDA under allegations of impropriety, served briefly as Provost at New York Medical College, and then took a position with Burston-Marsteller, the chief public relations firm for both Monsanto and GD Searle. Since that time he has never spoken publicly about aspartame.

As many of you have read Marijuana is known to cure cancer yet the FDA has avoided changing its status as Schedule 1 Cotrolled Substance. Just moments ago I went to the FDA website and searched for marijuana and this was the first hit;

Marijuana is listed in schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), the most restrictive schedule. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which administers the CSA, continues to support that placement and FDA concurred because marijuana met the three criteria for placement in Schedule I under 21 U.S.C. 812(b)(1) (e.g., marijuana has a high potential for abuse, has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and has a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision). Furthermore, there is currently sound evidence that smoked marijuana is harmful. A past evaluation by several Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA), concluded that no sound scientific studies supported medical use of marijuana for treatment in the United States, and no animal or human data supported the safety or efficacy of marijuana for general medical use. There are alternative FDA-approved medications in existence for treatment of many of the proposed uses of smoked marijuana.

On June 24, 2005 ProCon.org sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to find the number of deaths caused by marijuana compared to the number of deaths caused by 17 FDA-approved drugs. Twelve of these FDA-approved drugs were chosen because they are commonly prescribed in place of medical marijuana, while the remaining five FDA-approved drugs were randomly selected because they are widely used and recognized by the general public.

If you followed the link you have seen the 17 FDA approved drugs have been the primary cause of over 10,000 deaths, marijuana has been the primary cause of 0 deaths. Strange that the FDA is denying Americans the safest of the 18 drugs charted in the study. Then again Marijuana is not a drug rather it is a very safe medicinal herb that can cure and prevent cancer as well as many other diseases.

At this point we have barley scratched the surface of Monsanto and their known cancer causing products, but we see that the FDA approved Aspartame because of the influence of Donald Rumsfeld. Boycott Kellogg's and CORN!

I am sure many of you remember the boycott of Kellogg's over the firing of Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps for a picture of him with a bong. The boycott actually sent the message to Wall Street that angry consumers can be a real concern. Its time for a boycott corn because so much is GMO and there is no labeling to warn consumers as to which is normal or GMO. This is just as serious as the Michael Phelps story as it effects us on all levels of our food chain, as almost all animal feed corn is a Monsanto GMO product. We can not boycott every corn product but if the store shelve stay filled with Frozen & canned corns, tortilla chips, corn flakes, corn oils and corn syrups it would send a message that consumers want safe foods.

GMOs are created by injecting virus and/ or bacteria into a plant or animal cell, along with the DNA of life forms that would never mate in nature (like spiders and goats). There is extensive proof that GMOs are detrimental to health.(1) Monsanto's business practices are corrupt- for example, there have been cases where seed sold as non- GMO were actually contaminated. GMOs are not limited to food; industrial chemicals, plastic and drugs can be grown in plants like corn, and there is an overwhelming chance that you have ingested these chemicals and drugs, if you live in America.(2) Cross pollination is rampant and is an enormous problem, thereby polluting non-GMO farms and endangering America's food supply. Most Americans are unaware that up to 75% of their daily diet is comprised of GMO food.

Do some research and decide if you really want GMO on your dinner table, if the answer is no, tell them so with a boycott on corn. Do not expect our politicians to ban GMO that is not going to happen, so a boycott on corn will show Wall Street we do not want GMO for dinner.

Dispicable Montanan Politician trying to repeal MMJ Law

Is it not bad enough that the politicians of Montana are going nuts because people in their state are choosing to use a safe medicinal herb over harsh narcotic prescription drugs. Now they are trying to deceive voters by falsely naming the new anti-medical marijuana bill "Safe Community Safe Kids". The Black Market has no rules or boundaries to protect kids and why should communities need protection from a medicinal herb being prescribed by licensed Dr's?

Marijuana has a very unique ability to cause extreme paranoia and stupidity in those who have never used it. Montanans would be much better off spending their energy keeping kids off dangerous prescription narcotics and alcohol. Communities would be much safer if alcohol was banned as studies prove it causes violence, especially domestic violence which is extremely harmful to children.

Marijuana has been used successfully to treat alcoholism and hard drug addiction since before marijuana prohibition started and is still used for such today. Marijuana would make communities a safer place for kids and everyone!

A group trying to repeal Montana's medical marijuana law received the approved petition on Friday afternoon, and can now collect signatures to put the initiative on the November ballot.

The "Safe Community Safe Kids" proposal needs to collect more than 24,337 signatures by 5:00 p.m. next Friday.

Attorney and State Senator Jim Shockley, a Republican from Victor, helped rewrite the statement, which calls for for repealing the Medical Marijuana initiative passed by Montana voters in 2004.

Americans Denied 2 tons of Cancer Curing Medicinal Herbs

Once again Law Enforcement is securing America from attempts of smugglers to bring in marijuana a medicinal herb known to cure and prevent cancer. Big pharmaceutical companies have a lot tied up in their chemotherapy drugs and would really hate for Americans to have the ability to fight cancer with a common medicinal herb. Mexican marijuana is high in CBD and would be very helpful for cancer prevention and could be used for many medical needs. If marijuana was taxed as an import product it would reduce violence and help struggling Mexican farmers and their families.

Grandma is Dangerous Marijuana Grower

Once again Law Enforcement is making America a safer place, the question is for whom. I am really fed up with officers putting our normally law biding Grandfolk's in jail for having a medicinal herb! How would officers feel if we harassed and extorted their Grandparents? They have no regrets for arresting our Grandmothers and Grandfathers and even brag about it with press releases such as this one.

A grandmother from North Memphis, Tennessee was arrested on Wednesday, 65-year-old Helen Franklin had four potted marijuana plants outside her house. Franklin is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

What an enormous waste of man power and money is spent on the senseless prohibition of marijuana every year in the United States!


Being a fledgling Marijuana Activist I Google marijuana on a regular basis looking for ideas to blog about, and before I searched to submit stories to Digg. Every time I search I feel frustrated at how easily Law Enforcement gets press and I feel disgusted as I see most of the stories are bragging about their busts which destroy families and lives.

I go through dozens of stories looking for ones that call for the end of marijuana prohibition. I am constantly reading of Grandmas, handicapped, teens and the sick being arrested. It is so frustrating knowing that the police take every cent from these people so they can not afford good legal representation and are left with the choice of borrowing money or having a public pretender defend them.

We have allowed Law Enforcement to lobby our law makers until we have a prison state praying on pot smokers. I lay a lot of the blame back to Richard Nixxon and his desire to get the war protesting Hippies off the White House lawns. So that he and his Hawkish friends could continue profiting from the Vietnam war. I see that we have made little progress with prohibition and medical marijuana voted in by the people is under the Governments attack in almost every state that voters have approved of it.

I often wonder why marijuana is so feared by those that buy and pay for the politicians that run their Government. I have come to the realization that marijuana could devastate modern medicine, being one of the few non toxic cures for cancer and a cancer preventative. We have recently seen how much influence big pharmaceutical and medical insurance companies have with their law makers.

I realize Law Enforcement finds marijuana arrests one of the safest ways for them to bring large amounts of extra money to their departments. But the cost to us the taxpayers for trial and imprisonment is one of the things that is bankrupting our country and to what good?

I ask you my fellow voters to put a end to the tyranny of marijuana prohibition and tell the law makers it is time for taxation not prohibition!

Montana Governor Battles Medical Marijuana

Missoula, MT -- Governor Schweitzer admits, medical marijuana needs tighter restrictions on who gets a card.

So a Dr prescribing marijuana is not a tight enough regulation Gov. Schweitzer, are you Governor better trained in knowing who may be helped by MMJ than a Dr? Dr's prescribe dangerous drugs and powerful narcotic controlled substances everyday (just ask Rush), should they not be able to prescribe a nontoxic medicinal herb?

Some Montana cities have capped or barred new caregivers from opening up shops.

This is a very sad thing that city politicians are setting themselves against the will of the voters of the State of Montana.

Lawmakers have plans on the table that range from legalizing marijuana, to getting rid of it all together. The Governor thinks the legislature will probably have to meet in the middle.

Maybe the Lawmakers & Governor should put the choice to the voters who passed the medical marijuana law in the first place.

" I don't think anybody thought it was going to be snow boarders that were smoking the medical marijuana,"

So Governor does this mean that snow boarders can not have conditions that can be treated with medical marijuana, or is there some special reason they should not be able to be prescribed marijuana?

Governor Schweitzer get a handle on this, the majority of voters in your state voted to legalize medical marijuana, maybe because they thought that medical marijuana might help with their ailments! The Governor seems to be going paranoid from anti-pot frustration, smoke a bowl and chill Dude!
