Merle Haggard Says Willies Nelsons Right Legalize Cannabis!

Merle Haggard isn't one to keep his opinions to himself. The outspoken 73-year old is still making music, winning awards and defending causes in which he strongly believes -- including the legalization of marijuana.

1484 The Beginning of Cannabis Prohibition

There are a lot of stories as to why we have cannabis and drug prohibition but to really understand the concept we need to start at the beginning.

A Few Words on Florida & Medical Marijuana

Today I read this story about the problems Florida is having with Pain Clinics and a pharmaceutical black market.  And I cherry picked the following line out from the article because it represents the monumental importance of safe nontoxic Medical Marijuana.

The Mistreatment Of Medical Marijuana patients

This article is about Canada, but honestly it applies to many  the US States, other Countries and their handling MMJ programs as well.

Decriminalizing marijuana would save public resources

At a time when state and local governments are laying off police, firefighters and teachers, this country continues to spend enormous public resources criminalizing Americans who prefer marijuana to martinis. The end result of this ongoing culture war is not necessarily lower rates of use.

Mexico's Drug Arrests Lead to Dangerous Overcrowding of Their Prison System: US Private Prisons to the Rescue!

I was reading about the recent jail break at Nuevo Laredo, where 140 prisoners escaped. After reading several articles, what really caught my attention was the explosion of prison populations, they quadrupled in just 4 years. I think we should be taking a serious look at the living and safety conditions of the Mexican prison system. I also must wonder, if the US funding Mexico's Drug War is causing multiple human rights issues in Mexico?

Legal Cannabis Would Cause Alcohol,Tobacco and Prison Profits to Plummet!

I read this in a comment section and found it to be "Words of Wisdom"  so I added it to my blog, and put up a few appropriate pictures.

Give people the legal option and the alcohol use will drop.

In fact did you know that Tobacco companies and the Alcohol industry are the primary donors to "The Partnership for a Drug Free America".

California policeman rants about prop 215 and insults the voters

Yesterday, one of my Facebook friends posted a link, to a California Motorcycle officers blog. The more times I read his blog, the madder I have become, not only is he rude and arrogant, he insults the majority of California's voters. Here is a small quote from the MotorCop blog, please be sure to read the rest.

Let's talk about Prop. 215. What's that? It's California's (I swear I'm not making this up) Compassionate User act of 1996. Could they have come up with a more touchy-feely name? Oh, that's right, I live in California. We're not called the Left Coast for nothing

If Pot Were Legal, No One Would Grow it in the Woods

The tittle is from the speakeasy Blog, that being said I wrote an article similar to this earlier this year, Legalize Marijuana to Make Our Forests Safe

If Pot Were Legal, No One Would Grow it in the Woods

Can you even think of anything besides marijuana that is grown secretly in the woods? Of course not, because hiking over mountains through dense underbrush with pounds of fertilizer on your back is so stupid and crazy that no one would ever do it unless there were millions of dollars at stake. Unfortunately, there actually are people making millions off these operations and the U.S. Congress is so fed up with the situation that they've issued a resolution demanding that something be done about it.

When the whole truth is not allowed in court

When I think of court in the United States I picture the bailiff with the Bible in hand asking "do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God". Now I would think that it would be illegal to give a testimony that was out of context or one that omitted a part of the truth.
